Can you jump over a 5 foot chasm?

We took the Original Dells Boat Tour on Thursday and got to travel down the Wisconsin River for two hours. It included two dock stops with short hikes. On the second hike we watched the amazing feat of a German Shepherd jumping across a 5 foot ravine and learned the history of this famous jump to Stand Rock. Dan captured it on video below (there is about 3 minutes of commentary from our tour guide before the actual jump).

Later on, we went to the H.H. Bennett Museum and "jumped" across the chasm ourselves. We got stickers to prove it. Check out the video below.

More pictures from the boat tour, amphibious boat tour (Ducks), and museum:

Doesn't the rock look like an eagle's head?

Loralynn really liked moving the cursor on the screen with the rolling ball and then pushing the button.
How far is a 5 foot jump? Let's find out by laying down.

H.H. Bennett was an inventor and photographer. Part of his studio was preserved.
